Audience¶

Students that are familiar with web services and want to have an overview of the Web Processing Service (WPS) standard.

Learning Objectives¶

At the completion of the module students will be able to:

• Explain what WPS is

• Describe what can be done with WPS

• Understand the main operations of WPS

• Understand how to retrieve a description of the capabilities of a WPS

• Understand how to issue DescribeProcess and Execute requests

• Be able to find a WPS endpoint and use it through a client
