Audience¶

Students that are familiar with web services and want to have an overview of Web Feature Service (WFS) standard.

Learning Objectives¶

At the completion of the module students will be able to:

• Explain what WFS is

• Describe what can be done with WFS

• Understand the main operations of WFS

• Understand how to retrieve a description of the capabilities of a WFS

• Understand how to issue DescribeFeatureType and GetFeature requests

• Be able to find a WFS endpoint and use it through a client
