SOS - Overview¶

Audience¶

Students that are familiar with web services and want to have an overview of the Sensor Observation Service (SOS) interface standard.

At completion of the module students will be able to:

• Explain what the SOS is

• Describe what can be done with an SOS

• Understand how to retrieve data from an SOS service

• Understand how to publish sensor-collected data through an SOS

• Be able to find an SOS endpoint and use it through a client
